Coal deposit development on Taymyr to begin in 2025 — document

KRASNOYARSK, December 11. /TASS/. The Syradasay coal deposit development project, where investments will make 33.8 billion rubles ($338), will be implemented in the Krasnoyarsk Region's north in 2025, the plan to develop the region's Arctic economic growth centers reads.
"The [project] implementation is due in 2025," the document, obtained by TASS, reads. The investor is the Severnaya Zvezda Company. The project will create 1,200 jobs.
The Syradasay coal deposit development is part of a project to create a coal cluster on the Taymyr Peninsula. In 2020, the Severnaya Zvezda Company became the first business resident of the Russian Federation's Arctic Zone in the Krasnoyarsk Region. During the deposit's development, the company will create an open-pit coal mine with an annual capacity of 5 million tons at the first stage and 10 million tons at the second stage. Severnaya Zvezda will build an enrichment plant, the Yenisei seaport, a highway, a shift settlement, and a power plant.
