Tourism between Russia and China is growing by leaps and bounds, with millions of people traveling between the two countries, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and leader of United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev said while talking to journalists during his visit to Beijing.

"We have added such an important humanitarian element as tourist exchanges. This did not happen before for various reasons. By the way, we have to thank our Western 'friends' who spoiled the mood of our people and do not let them go anywhere or put spokes in their wheels," he said.

"Tourist exchange between our countries is growing by leaps and bounds, there are already millions of tourists," Medvedev added.
