Polyus estimates capital expenditures on Sukhoi Log project’s implementation at $6 bln
Located in the Bodaibo district of the Irkutsk region, Sukhoi Log is one of the world’s largest gold greenfield projects
MOSCOW, December 10. /TASS/. Polyus estimates capital expenditures on the implementation of the Sukhoi Log gold greenfield project at $6 bln, according to files released by Russia’s gold miner.
"Planned capital expenditures on the implementation of the project total $6 bln; this is Russia’s largest gold mining investment project. Financing is planned using own and borrowed funds," Polyus said.
Located in the Bodaibo district of the Irkutsk region, Sukhoi Log is one of the world’s largest gold greenfield projects. According to 2023 estimates, Sukhoi Log’s gold reserves stand at 43.5 moz of gold (ore grade 2.1 g/t), while its resources are estimated at 81 moz of gold (ore grade 1.8 g/t). The company is currently undertaking a feasibility study at the deposit.
