ST. PETERSBURG, December 6. /TASS/. The Russian authorities are working on extension of the list of countries whose citizens may enter Russia with an e-visa, with over 10 countries planned to be added to it, head of the Economic Development Ministry’s Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects Nikita Kondratyev told reporters.

"First of all, the Foreign Ministry is currently working to extend the e-visa list <…> with more than ten countries to be added," he said.

Earlier, Kondratyev said that it was planned to add Egypt to the e-visa list. An e-visa to Russia was enforced on August 1, 2023, he noted. According to the ministry, the number of tourists using this mechanism totals 30,000 each month on average, and up to 70,000 in peak months.
