Russia to double transportation network capacity — PM

MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russia is to increase twofold the capacity of its backbone transportation network, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"We will start solving the task of improving the logistical system within the framework of the Efficient Transport System National Project. It provides for activities, on account of which the almost twofold increase of the capacity of the integrated backbone transport network of Russia will be provided," the prime minister said.
"We will modernize 75 airports by that time, to increase aviation mobility of citizens by 1.5 times," Mishustin noted. "Plans are also in place to launch a high-speed railroad between Moscow and St. Petersburg, further development of the Northern Sea Route, the icebreaking fleet, and port infrastructure construction," he added.
