New car sales in Russia rose by 11.1% in November — statistics
The domestic brand Lada continues to hold a strong position in the market, as it did in October
MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Sales of new cars increased by 11.1% on a year-over-year basis to 121,884 units in November 2024, the Avtostat analytical agency reports.
"According to Avtostat's data, 121,884 new cars were sold in our country as of the end of November, which is 11.1% more than in the same month of 2023," the agency said.
The domestic brand Lada continues to hold a strong position in the market, as it did in October. Avtostat reports 37,900 cars sold in the past month (up 15.9%).
China's Haval brand comes second with 15,400 cars sold in November, representing a 7.1% increase year on year. Chery is third, with sales dropping by 2.2% annually to 11,100 cars.
The Lada Granta became the top seller in November. Nearly 16,000 such cars were sold, a decrease of 1.3% in annual terms.
Overall, new car sales surged by 54.1% year on year to nearly 1.448 million in January - November 2024.
