Russian Cabinet preparing Bio-economy National Project — PM
"All the initiatives will be considered in the near future at the meeting of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects," Mikhail Mishustin said
MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/. Initiatives related to National Projects pertaining to development of key industries will be discussed shortly at a meeting of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"Eight relevant National Projects cover key sectors where it is critical for the country to obtain independence from external technologies and supplies," the prime minister said. New promising materials, chemistry, production and automation means, energy, space, aircraft production and shipbuilding, innovative transport, and spheres of medicine, pharmacy, food security and civilian unmanned aerial systems are among them, he noted.
"All the initiatives will be considered in the near future at the meeting of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects. We plan to launch them from January 1, 2025," the Prime Minister informed. Required funding to implement all the project is provided for in the budget, Mishustin said.
"We will prepare one more National Project, the Bio-economy, during several weeks. We will start then building the infrastructure in regions for the use of biological raw materials and develop unique technologies having the demand in agriculture, environmental protection, and when creating the whole range of pharmaceuticals," the prime minister stressed.
