MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The meeting of the OPEC+ Ministerial Monitoring Committee and the OPEC+ Ministerial Meeting, originally scheduled for December 1, have been postponed to December 5, OPEC said.

The organization stressed that the events were postponed due to the fact that a number of ministers are participating in the Gulf Summit in Kuwait.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the OPEC+ meeting would be postponed until December 5.

The OPEC+ agenda includes a decision on voluntary oil production cuts. Starting in the Q1 2024, eight OPEC+ countries, including Russia and Saudi Arabia, will voluntarily reduce oil production by 2.2 mln bpd. Beginning in October 2024, these countries were scheduled to begin gradually restoring production, but the increase has been delayed until the end of 2024.

Bloomberg also reported earlier that the alliance countries have begun discussing extending the voluntary production cuts for several more months.

Also this week, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud met with the energy ministers of Iraq, and Kazakhstan. Russia, Iraq, and Kazakhstan are among the "debtors" under the OPEC+ deal and must compensate for overproduction of oil.
