Long-term gas supplies from Russia to Kazakhstan being considered

ASTANA, November 27. /TASS/. Authorities of Kazakhstan are exploring the issue of long-term supplies of Russian gas to the country, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
"Significant successes were managed to be achieved in the gas industry. Transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan via the territory of Kazakhstan was launched for the first time. An agreement was signed with Gazprom on the transit of Russian gas to Kyrgyzstan. Long-term supplies of Russian gas to Kazakhstan are being considered," Tokayev said.
These projects will promote strengthening of energy security in Central Asia at large, the president added.
