ASTANA, November 27. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan is growing with Russia accounting for around 20% of the country’s foreign trade, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who spoke via video link at the plenary session of the 20th Forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.
"Trade turnover is growing, last year it reached an impressive $27 bln. At the same time, Russia accounts for almost 20% of Kazakhstan's foreign trade. The total volume of Russian direct investments has approached $25 bln," Tokayev said.
According to him, 23,000 Russian and joint companies are successfully operating in Kazakhstan.
