Russia to use around $4.06 bln to develop tourism until 2030

MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Russia plans to use around 460 bln rubles ($4.06 bln) for the development of tourism until 2030 as part of the implementation of the national project Tourism and Hospitality, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov said at a round table in the Federation Council.
"The President instructed to allocate at least 403 bln rubles for financing the national project. Today, the resources until 2030 have been determined at around 460 bln rubles," he said.
Earlier, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the project committee approved the passport of the new national project Tourism and Hospitality, which will come into force in 2025.
The main goals of the project include increasing the share of tourism in the country's GDP to 5% by 2030, raising the number of tourist trips to 140 mln, and tripling the export of tourism services compared to 2023. The updated national project will include five federal projects.
