MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The volume of flour production in Russia may grow by 4.5% to 10.3 mln tons by the end of 2024, President of the Russian Union of Flour and Cereals Enterprises Igor Sviridenko said in his presentation.

According to the results of 2023, flour production in Russia reached 9.853 mln tons.

The presentation also noted that the production of wheat flour by the end of 2024 is expected to be at the level of 9.67 mln tons against 9.317 mln tons in 2023, the production of rye flour - at the level of 500 thousand tons against 535,000 tons at the end of last year.

The gross rye harvest in Russia by the end of the current year is expected to be at the level of 1.3 mln tons against 1.7 mln tons by the end of 2023.
