Trump promises to impose 25% tariff on all goods from Mexico, Canada
Mexico and Canada have every right and opportunity to easily resolve this long-standing problem, US president-elect said
NEW YORK, November 26. /TASS/. US President-elect Donald Trump has promised to impose a 25% tariff on all goods from Mexico and Canada due to illegal migration and drug smuggling.
"On January 20, as one of my many first executive orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% tariff on all products coming into the United States," he wrote on his Truth Social page.
"This tariff will remain in effect until such time as drugs, in particular fentanyl, and all illegal aliens (migrants - TASS) stop this invasion of our country!" Trump emphasized, adding that Mexico and Canada have every right and opportunity to easily resolve this long-standing problem, and until it remains unsolved, the US will charge them a high price.
