MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The price of gold futures contracts for December 2024 delivery on the Comex exchange (a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange) has exceeded $2,700 per troy ounce for the first time since November 8, according to trading data.
As of 10:48 a.m. Moscow time (7:48 a.m. GMT) the gold price was up by 0.96% at $2,700.5 per troy ounce. As of 11:03 p.m. Moscow time (8:03 a.m. GMT) the price of gold slowed down growth and was $2,698.8 per troy ounce (+0.89%).
The price of gold futures from November 6, 2024, began to decline against the backdrop of the US presidential elections. Then, in one day, the price of gold fell from $2,750.6 per troy ounce to $2,650.3 per troy ounce (-3.65%). By November 14, gold reached $2,541.5 (-7.6% compared to the close of trading on November 5) per troy ounce and began to grow.
