The reason for the shutdown remains unknown

MELITOPOL, November 16. /TASS/. Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have been notified about the shutdown of the Dneprovskaya high-voltage power supply line at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), the plant's Spokeswoman Yegeniya Yashina told TASS.

"The IAEA specialists present at the Zaporozhye NPP have been notified of the shutdown by an automatic system of the Dneprovskaya high-voltage power supply line," Yashina said.

She added that the reason for the shutdown remains unknown.

The plant previously stated on its Telegram channel that the Dneprovskaya high-voltage line was automatically disconnected, with power now being supplied through the Ferrosplavnaya-1 line. No violations of safety limits or conditions have been reported, and personnel remain prepared to respond if necessary. The statement also confirmed that the radiation levels at the plant and in the surrounding area remain stable and within normal limits. Currently, all units of the Zaporozhye NPP are in a state of cold shutdown.
