Center for facilitating investment from Chinese business to open in Kazan

KAZAN, November 15. /TASS/. A center for facilitating investment from Chinese companies is to be opened in Kazan. It will, among other things, facilitate market entry and provide legal assistance, Zhou Liqun, Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia, said at the 2nd International Forum Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation.
"At the meeting with the Rais (head - TASS note) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, we not only summed up the results of the work done, <...> but also discussed plans for future cooperation. An important agreement was the establishment of a local center for the facilitation of investment from Chinese business to provide better services to more enterprises <...>. This includes work with investment promotion in Tatarstan, providing legal assistance <...>. We are helping an increasing number of companies to do business in Tatarstan," said Zhou Liqun.
He also noted that the Kazan branch of the Russian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan have set up a working group to create a service platform to promote cooperation and development.
The head of Tatarstan's Investment Development Agency, Taliya Minullina, noted that the emergence of such a center is an important step. "This is an institutional environment that will allow us to improve the investment climate in the Republic of Tatarstan for Chinese companies," Minullina said.
The International Forum Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation will be held in Kazan on 13-15 November. The Forum's business program includes 70 sessions on trade, investment, technology, logistics, petrochemicals, agriculture, education, tourism and other topics. More than 10,000 participants are expected to attend, including representatives from 69 Russian regions and 26 Chinese administrative divisions. The Forum will also host the Russia China Expo international exhibition and will offer an extensive cultural program to all participants.
