Hungary turning into nuclear technologies development center — Rosatom CEO
First concrete pouring at the Paks-2 nuclear power plant (NPP) in Hungary will start in the middle of the first quarter of 2025, Alexey Likhachev said
YEKATERINBURG, November 15. /TASS/. Hungary is becoming a center of nuclear technologies development in Europe as the Paks-2 nuclear power plant (NPP) project is progressing, CEO of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev told reporters.
"Plenty of industrial international projects are being created. Our partners that acquired such experience in Belarus, are acquiring such experience in Turkey <…> want to come to work at the Hungarian site," Likhachev said. "Hungary is becoming at present, in the course of the Paks-2 project implementation, the center of development of the nuclear technology in Europe," he added.
