Russia, Azerbaijan working together to develop transport infrastructure
Ali Asadov also reminded that the two countries are working together on large-scale projects to build machinery
BAKU, November 13. /TASS/. Russia and Azerbaijan are working together to build new trade routes, viewing this as a very important area of cooperation, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov.
Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, who took part in the talks, is heavily involved in work to build the western route of the North - South international transport corridor which passes through Azerbaijan, Mishustin said.
"This will make it possible to transport more cargo and expand the geography of the flow of goods, as well as reach growing markets in the Global South via ports of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean - these are the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia," the prime minister noted.
He also reminded that the two countries are working together on large-scale projects to build machinery. What's more, Russia and Azerbaijan are increasing trade in national currencies, Mishustin added.
