Foreign investments in Belarus total $5.4 bln in Q3 2024 — statistics
Belarusian organizations invested $3.6 billion overseas from January to September 2024, with 90.2% in Russian business entities, the committee said
MINSK, November 13. /TASS/. Russia accounted for almost 70% of the $5.4 billion of foreign investments in the real sector of the Belarusian economy from January to September, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) reported on its website.
"Key investors in Belarusian organizations were business entities from the Russian Federation (69.7% of all investments received), Cyprus (7.8%), and the United Arab Emirates (6.8%)," the committee said. Foreign direct investments totaled $4 billion, or 73.7% of all foreign investments received.
Belarusian organizations invested $3.6 billion overseas from January to September 2024, with 90.2% in Russian business entities, the committee said. Direct investments comprised 79.9% of all investments abroad.
