Freight turnover of Russian seaports down 3.2% YOY in 10M 2024 — association

Dry cargo throughput totaled 370.8 mln metric tons in the reporting period

MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. The freight turnover of Russian seaports dropped by 3.2% year on year to 743 mln metric tons in January - October 2024, the Association of Sea Commercial Ports said on its website.

"The freight turnover of Russian seaports moved down by 3.2% in January - October 2024 against the like period of the last year and totaled 743 mln metric tons," the association said.

Dry cargo throughput totaled 370.8 mln metric tons in the reporting period (-3.5% annually). Bulk goods throughput totaled 372.2 mln metric tons, with the decline by 2.9%.

Export cargo transshipments stood at 586.6 mln metric tons, down 2.8%. Transshipments gained 9% for import cargo to 35.2 mln metric tons, stood flat for transit cargo (54.8 mln metric tons) and plunged by 13.1% to 66.5 mln metric tons for coastal cargoes.
