Russia remains top oil supplier to India, China — OPEC

According to the report, Russia accounted for 41% of total oil imports by India against 40% a month earlier

MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. Russia was the biggest supplier of crude oil to India and China in September continuing the trend from prior months, OPEC said in its November report.

According to data from the Vortexa analytical firm cited by OPEC, Russia accounted for 41% of total oil imports by India against 40% a month earlier. Iraq accounted for 19% of supplies and Saudi Arabia for 14%. India’s total oil imports declined in September by more than 5% against August to 4.5 mln barrels per day but remained higher than average for the last five years.

Additionally, according to OPEC, Russia made up 19% of China’s total oil imports. Saudi Arabia accounted for about 16% of supplies, Malaysia for 14%, and Iraq a little over 12%. In total, Chinese oil imports lost 4% in September month on month and totaled 11.1 mln barrels daily.
