Russia’s inflation slows down to 0.19% on October 29 – November 5

Since the beginning of November consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.12%

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia for the period from October 29 to November 5 reached 0.19%, according to the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

A week earlier, from October 22 to 28, inflation was 0.27%.

Since the beginning of November consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.12%, since the beginning of the year - by 6.75%.

At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development said that annual inflation in Russia from October 29 to November 5 slowed down to 8.53% from 8.61% a week earlier, for the period from October 29 to November 5, consumer inflation slowed down to 0.19%.

"For the period from October 29 to November 5 (8 days), consumer inflation slowed to 0.19%. In the food sector, prices changed by 0.61% during the reporting week: for fruit and vegetable products, price dynamics reached 3.99%, for other food products price growth slowed down to 0.35%. The annual inflation rate amounted to 8.53%," the report said.

The Ministry of Economic Development also noted that prices in the non-food segment have resumed their downward trend (-0.06%): prices of cars, electrical and household appliances have decreased. In the services sector, prices fell by -0.21%, with hotel and sanatorium services becoming cheaper.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development raised its inflation forecast for Russia in 2024 from 5.1% to 7.3%.
