Ukraine’s decision means that after it opens its airspace, flights to and from Iran will not be resumed
MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Kiev has terminated the 1993 agreement with Tehran on air service, according to a post on the Ukrainian government’s website.
Ukraine closed its airspace on February 24, 2022, with no regular passenger flights performed ever since. Ukraine’s decision means that after it opens its airspace, flights to and from Iran will not be resumed.
Ukraine accuses Iran of providing assistance to Russia in course of the conflict. Kiev has already terminated numerous agreements with Russia and within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which actually ceased to be effective years ago.
