Global diamond market expected to recover next year — Russian Finance Ministry

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The Russian Finance Ministry hopes that the global diamond market will start recovering from the crisis as early as in the next year, Deputy Minister Alexey Moiseev said on the verge of the plenary session of the Kimberley Process.
"Many industry players and analysts started noting, although rather cautiously, appearance of signs of certain stabilization in the diamond market. We hope they will hit the mark and we will the start of the recovery period as early as in the next year," Moiseev said, cited by the ministry’s press service.
"The Russian government believes in the fundamental value of natural diamonds in its turn. We are confident that leading industry players will be able to contribute to the soonest possible end of the current crisis in the industry by joint efforts of promoting large-scale generic marketing programs," he added.
