Plant in St. Petersburg suspends Philips TV sets production
"We hope our government will solve these problems very soon, making it possible for us to resume production," the press service said
ST. PETERSBURG, November 7. /TASS/. The TPV CIS plant in the St. Petersburg district of Shushary has suspended production of Philips TV sets and hopes to resume it when problems of payments are solved at the intergovernmental level, the plant’s press service told TASS.
"Yes, we have temporarily suspended production of TV sets until problems of payments to foreign suppliers of spare parts at an industrial scale are resolved at the governmental level. Buyers of our goods have no grounds for concerns - we continue providing all services, all our service centers are functioning normally, all guarantees are valid and warranty repairs continue to be made free of charge for customers," the press service said.
Delays with some imported spares for repair may be in rare cases, it noted. "We hope our government will solve these problems very soon, making it possible for us to resume production," the press service said. The plant halted production in late October.
The TPV CIS was dealing with assembly of Philips TV sets.
