MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The federal budget deficit for January-October 2024 amounted to 220 bln rubles ($2.24 bln), the Russian Finance Ministry said.

"According to the preliminary estimate, the volume of federal budget revenues in January-October 2024 amounted to 29,668 bln rubles, which is 28.4% higher than the volume of revenues in the corresponding period of 2023," the ministry said.

According to the preliminary estimate, the volume of federal budget expenditures for the reporting period increased by 23.7% and amounted to 29.889 trillion rubles ($305.07 bln).

By the end of the year, the deficit is expected to be at the level of 1.7% of GDP, the Ministry of Finance noted.
