Russian economic diversification proactive — Novak
The Russian deputy prime minister pointed to "the 4.4% growth in nine months this year, including almost 8% for the processing segment"
SOCHI, November 6. /TASS/. The Russian economy undergoes proactive diversification and industry’s growth rates are 4.4%, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Valdai Discussion Club’s meeting.
"We talked today in broad terms that our economy is developing sustainable; diversification is taking place and the area of high technological sovereignty is being implemented and supported proactively - this is construction of lathes, the Russian machinery building segment. Speaking about industry’s growth rates, we see the 4.4% growth in nine months this year, including almost 8% for the processing segment. It evidences that investments are going nevertheless into our industrial sector; the highest growth is there," Novak said.
Computers production is being developing proactively, the deputy prime minister noted.
"If we speak about growth rates inside the industry, production of computers, for example, computing equipment, surged by almost 30% against the last year. We see such growth rates. This is also a positive factor evidencing structural shifts taking place in our economy," Novak added.
