Phoenix International Airport handled the delivery

HAIKOU /China/, September 21. /TASS/. The foreign trade sector of the city of Sanya (South China's Hainan Province) has completed its first simplified business-to-consumer (B2C) cross-border e-commerce order, Sanya Daily reported.

The paper said that coconut-based food products were the first items to be exported under the simplified regime (declaration model 9610). Phoenix International Airport handled the delivery.

According to the report, this method is much more efficient than traditional overseas shipments. This is mainly due to simplified customs procedures and few restrictions. This cost-saving approach is expected to gradually become the standard for Sanya companies selling their products on online marketplaces.

The first destination for these cross-border B2C shipments is Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Exports are made directly, with no delays at transit points. All formalities are handled in a one-stop shop mode.

This format of international trade is expected to involve fewer risks. According to the newspaper, it is expected to "give a new impetus" to the development of Hainan Free Trade Port.
