MOSCOW, August 15. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia set the official dollar rate of 88.796 rubles for August 16, down 1.21 rubles against the previous indicator.

The official euro rate was reduced by 1.99 rubles to 98.3232 rubles. The official yuan rate is fixed at 11.9319 rubles, down fourteen kopecks.

The Central Bank said earlier that it would fix official dollar and euro rates against the ruble on the basis of reports of banks on results of transactions in the over-the-counter currency market.
