Multiple-use methane rocket to be launched in 2030 — Russian Deputy PM

MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. The launch of the Amur LNG multiple-use medium lift carrier vehicle is scheduled for 2030, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov told reporters.
"If speaking about projects with reusable stages, the Samara-based Progress rocket and space center is working on development of the multiple-use medium lift launch vehicle titled ‘Amur LNG.’ This project is being implemented with the use of new organizational approaches and technological principles, making possible to significantly reduce the item cost, and designing for the preset cost of the launch service. The year of 2030 is the scheduled launch date," Manturov said.
Roscosmos and Progress center signed a contract on the conceptual design development with the use of the methane multiple-use rocket. The rocket will have the reusable first stage and will be launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region.
