MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. More than 8,000 high-tech startups received support from the Russian government in 2023, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said speaking in the State Duma.

"We also provided support to high-tech startups. Over the year, we provided it to more than 8,000 young innovators," he said.

As a result, over 100,000 jobs emerged in innovative areas.

"It is important that a significant part of all funds - budgetary and private, raised to finance projects of technological sovereignty - was directed last year to research and development," Mishustin added.
