Implementation of Union State’s integration projects bolsters stability in Eurasia — Putin
A new package of measures for promoting integration-oriented processes was approved during the January meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, the president noted
MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted in his congratulatory message to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of Russia-Belarus Unity Day that the implementation of integration-oriented projects meets the interests of the Russian and Belarusian peoples and is in line with the objective of strengthening stability across the Eurasian space, the Belarusian leader’s press service said.
"Successful implementation of approved Union programs has provided for the unification of the legislation of Russia and Belarus in critical areas, established the basis for the implementation of an integrated macroeconomic and monetary policy, and for the development of a common socioeconomic space," the Russian leader said.
A new package of measures for promoting integration-oriented processes was approved during the January meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, Putin noted. "I am confident that its consistent implementation is in line with the fundamental interests of Russians and Belarusians and follows the path of forging stability and security in the Eurasian space," the Russian president added.
The heads of state have succeeded in doing much for the further development of Russian-Belarusian ties, Putin stressed. "Recently, despite the challenging international environment, we have managed to do a lot for the development of multifaceted Russian-Belarusian ties and the bolstering of the institutions of the Union State," he noted. Coordination of efforts in the foreign, defense and security policy spheres has also produced strong results, Putin stressed.
