SIRIUS /FEDERAL TERRITORY/, March 26. /TASS/. Rosatom may build a lithium storage factory in Bolivia, the company’s First Deputy General Director for Development and International Business Kirill Komarov said.
"The second area of cooperation with Bolivia is assistance to the country in technologies related to lithium mining and processing," he said at the Atomexpo 2024 forum on Tuesday.
Komarov added that Bolivia is one of the countries with the largest lithium reserves, noting that it is important to learn "not just to extract lithium, but to do it as carefully and as environmentally friendly as possible."
"We have very big plans. At some stage we could even to build a storage factory in Bolivia, which could give Bolivia the opportunity to participate in this world history of the broadest development of electric transport," Komarov noted.
