Rosatom to build wind power plants abroad
Rosatom signed an agreement with the Kyrgyzstan’s Energy Ministry at the Atomexpo forum earlier on construction of wind power plants in the country with the capacity up to 1 GW
SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 26. /TASS/. Rosatom plans to build wind power generating facilities with the capacity of 3 GW abroad, First Deputy CEO of the Russian nuclear corporation said at the Atomexpo-2024 international forum.
"We are highly interested in going abroad. We are now finalizing agreements with Kyrgyzstan on construction of our first Russian wind parks in this country. We have a very broad view of the world in general. We have indicated so far in our wind energy development strategy that we would like to build wind power generating facilities abroad with the capacity of about 3 GW," Kirill Komarov said.
