Russian shipbuilding industry continues development — PM
The sector "definitely faced the most serious challenges" in conditions of sanctions, Mikhail Mishustin pointed out
MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. The national shipbuilding segment is operating and developing, despite all the constraints of unfriendly countries, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin said.
"It is important that the sector continues its dynamic work, despite all the difficulties. In particular, plants enjoy all the measures of government support, both specialized and general systemic ones, including preferential programs down the line of the Industry Development Fund," the Prime Minister informed.
The sector "definitely faced the most serious challenges" in conditions of sanctions, Mishustin said. "All the foreign vessels engaged in carriage of Russian goods left our transport services market, which required the soonest possible update and buildup of the domestic fleet. Established cooperation ties among plants were also severed. Western partners, in violation of all the agreements, refused to continue cooperating with our companies," he added.
