Turkey, Rosatom in proactive dialog on Sinop nuclear plant project

SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 25. /TASS/. Turkey is in the dialog with the Russian nuclear corporation Rosatom on the Sinop nuclear power plant (NPP) construction project, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar told reporters on the sidelines of the Atomexpo-2024 forum.
"As regards nuclear power plants we plan to construct recently, these are the NPP in Sinop and the NPP in Thrace," the minister said. "We have already made quite significant progress as regards Sinop; we have the dialog with Rosatom on this project," he added.
"We are also engaging the working groups that are dealing with the Akkuyu Project at present," Bayraktar continued. "We expect we will come to understanding, with whom we will work on the project in Thrace and on the project in Sinop," the minister added.
