Bank of Russia on constant alert for strengthening of sanctions — regulator

MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia is in constant readiness to strengthening of sanctions and is exploring various options to ensure the functioning of the financial infrastructure, head of the regulator Elvira Nabiullina said at a press conference following a meeting of the board of directors.
"Of course, we are in a constant state of readiness for possible toughening of sanctions, including on infrastructure, we are considering various options together with the Exchange to ensure the functioning of our infrastructure. Of course, such measures are being discussed in advance," she said.
Earlier, Nabiullina stated that all Russian banks subject to sanctions have adjusted to the new conditions and continue to operate and there are no risks to their financial stability. In an interview with RBC, she also expressed confidence that the sanctioned St. Petersburg Exchange will adapt and continue to operate.
