MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. China’s digital economy will be developed with increased rates, including the areas of artificial intelligence, biomedicine and quantum technology, the country’s ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said in an interview with TASS.

"Products of innovative activities in such cutting-edge areas as artificial intelligence, biomedicine and quantum technology emerge constantly. Digital economy has been developed with increased rates, while the penetration level of 5G networks has exceeded 50%," he said.

China is the world’s leader in terms of the number of "lighthouse factories" in the country, which present the highest level of smart production and digitalization, the diplomat added. "China accounts for over 60% of global production and sales of cars fueled by new sources of energy. Exports of the so-called ‘New three’ (e-vehicles, lithium batteries and photovoltaic products) have increased by 30%," he said.
