MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. The total amount of federal budget funds for restoring the port infrastructure of Mariupol and Berdyansk for the period from 2023 to 2025 will reach 5.8 bln rubles ($62.71 mln), Acting Head of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) Boris Tashimov said in an interview with TASS.
"For these goals (repairing the port infrastructure of Mariupol and Berdyansk - TASS), around 5.8 bln rubles are planned from the federal budget between 2023 and 2025. The required amount of investment through 2030 is difficult to calculate right now, but we are primarily trying to attract private investment to develop rear infrastructure, to construct a full-fledged cargo transshipment process," he said.
In November 2023, Rosmorrechflot reported that work had started to repair the infrastructure of these ports. It is planned that the transshipment capacity of these ports will increase to 5.9 mln tons in 2024 from 4.9 mln tons in 2023.
