Russian supplies of fertilizers to China up 94% in January-February to 891,000 tons

BEIJING, March 20. /TASS/. Russia supplied 891,300 tons of potassium chloride to China in January-February, which is 94% higher than in the same period last year, with Russia having become the biggest supplier of this type of fertilizers to the People’s Republic of China, according to figures released by the General Administration of Customs of China.
In value terms supplies amounted to $285.3 mln in the first two months of this year, up by 28% in annual terms.
Russia was followed by Canada in terms of potassium chloride supplies (719,900 tons worth $225.1 mln) and Belarus (448,000 worth $141.9 mln).
In 2023, Russia was the second-biggest exporter of potassium chloride to China (3 mln tons worth $1.1 bln) after Belarus (3.4 mln tons worth $1.5 bln).
