Russian pipeline gas supplies to China up 13% in money terms in January-February

Russia is the second-biggest supplier of pipeline gas to China in value terms after Turkmenistan, followed by Myanmar

BEIJING, March 20. /TASS/. The supplies of Russian pipeline gas to China in value terms amounted to $1.3 bln in January-February, which is 13% higher than in the same period last year, the General Administration of Customs of China reported.

Russia is the second-biggest supplier of pipeline gas to China in value terms after Turkmenistan ($1.6 bln), followed by Myanmar ($245.9 mln). No information has been provided on physical volumes of pipeline gas imported by China by the customs service since 2022.

In 2023, Russian pipeline gas supplies to China climbed by 61.7% in value terms compared with 2022 to $6.4 bln.
