Kazakhstan to boost Russian gas transit to Uzbekistan

According to the Energy Ministry, gas transit to Uzbekistan is planned to be increased to 11 bln cubic meters per year as of 2026
ASTANA, March 5. /TASS/. The Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan is going to scale up Russian gas transit to Uzbekistan via the territory of Kazakhstan from three bln cubic meters per year planned earlier to eleven bln cubic meters annually from 2026.
"Russian gas transit in the volume up to 3 bln cubic meters per year was launched last year with participation of the head of our state via the territory of our country to Uzbekistan," Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev said at the ministry’s board meeting.
According to ministry’s pre-reads to the board, gas transit to Uzbekistan is planned to be increased from 2026 to 11 bln cubic meters per year.
