Kazakhstan holding consultations with Germany on oil supplies increase

ASTANA, March 5. /TASS/. Authorities of Kazakhstan are holding consultations with German companies on the increase of oil deliveries via the Druzhba oil pipeline to Germany up to two mln metric tons, Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev said at a briefing.

"We currently have a request from relevant German companies on the volume increase to 2 mln metric tons. We have already started preliminary consultations with our counterparts on implementing the given transit this year," the minister said.

Earlier reports aid that Kazakhstan’s oil pipeline operator KazTransOil plans to ship up to 1.2 mln metric tons of Kazakh oil via the Transneft main oil pipelines system in direction of Germany in 2024.
