BRUSSELS, March 4. /TASS/. The European Union is not interested in the renewal of the trilateral agreement among Russia, the EU and Ukraine on gas transit, Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said at a press conference.
"The EU has no interest in prolonging the trilateral agreement with Russia. The focus should now be on supporting Ukraine and on how to best use its gas infrastructure and storage in the future," she said.
At the same time, the EU countries did not voice unanimous support for the ban on purchases of Russian liquefied natural gas, the commissioner added.
