Russia offers Nigeria cooperation in oil and gas exploration — energy minister
The parties also discussed cooperation on creating a network of gas filling stations
MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Russia is ready to cooperate with Nigeria on exploration of oil and gas fields, including on the shelf, Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov said at a meeting with the Minister of Oil and Gas Resources of Nigeria Ekperikpe Ekpo, which was held as part of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries in Algeria.
"Russian companies are ready to offer their services for searching and exploring hydrocarbon deposits and performing offshore seismic survey work in Nigeria," Shulginov said as quoted in the Telegram channel of the Energy Ministry.
The parties also discussed cooperation on creating a network of gas filling stations.
The parties also noted that they are interested in developing energy dialogue in all areas, including in terms of geological work, and also discussed interaction in the format of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries and cooperation within OPEC+.
