ANOSINO, March 1. /TASS/. The pilot project of the digital ruble is underway as planned, Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said.

"The pilot project is on track. Twelve credit institutions, about 600 individuals and thirty trading and service companies from eleven cities take part in it. Opening of wallets, transfers between individuals, payments for goods and services, and smart contracts are being tested," Nabiullina noted.

The regulator plans to continue expanding the range of users and expand the functionality of the digital ruble platform.
