MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Tatyana Bakalchuk, CEO and main owner of online retailer Wildberries, has topped the Forbes ranking of the richest self-made Russian women for the third time.
Her net worth as of the end of 2023 is estimated at $7.2 billion, the publication says. Bakalchuk topped the rating at the end of 2021 and 2022.
Olga Belyavtseva, the shareholder of the baby food manufacturer Progress (trademark Frutonyanya) and the Agronom-Sad company, ranks second with net worth estimated at $600 million.
Svetlana Demidova, co-owner of Nominant, the second largest sugar producer in Russia, ranks third with net worth of $550 million.
The list of richest women who independently earned their capital also includes general director and shareholder of INK-Capital Marina Sedykh ($550 million), minority co-owner of the Mercury Retail Holding group Elena Soboleva ($250 million), chief adviser to the chairman of the board of Taif Guzelia Safina ($475 million), Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC Novatek Tatyana Kuznetsova ($450 million), member of the board of directors of Lukoil Lyubov Khoba ($375 million), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pavlovskaya Sloboda meat processing plant Raisa Dyomina ($300 million) and member of the board of directors of PJSC Vysochaishy (GV Gold) Natalia Opaleva ($250 million).
In total, the rating includes 10 women who have achieved results in business on their own, or who are actively involved in the family business but did not inherit it, or who do business with partners.
Forbes assessed the net worth of rating participants by the value of the assets she owns: shares and shares in companies, real estate, dividends, etc. The price of public companies is fixed as of January 19, 2024.
