Russia’s gold output rises by 7% in January

The production of primary aluminum in January increased by 11.7%

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Gold production in Russia in January 2024 increased by 7% compared to the same period in 2023, according to Rosstat.

At the same time, compared to December 2023, the figure decreased by 38.1%. The production of primary aluminum in January increased by 11.7%, and by December 2023 it decreased by 4.3%.

Production of rolled steel in January decreased by 2.6% year-on-year to 5 mln tons (a decrease of 5.9% compared to December), unalloyed steel in ingots and semi-finished products in January decreased by 2.7% compared to January 2023 to 4.6 mln tons.
