Russia's annual GDP growth reached 4.6% in January after 4.4% in December — ministry
According to the first estimate of Rosstat, Russia's GDP growth at the end of 2023 reached 3.6%
MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russia’s GDP in January 2024 grew by 4.6% in annual terms after 4.4% in December 2023, according to the Ministry of Economic Development.
"According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, in January 2024, GDP exceeded the level of last year by 4.6% year-on-year after 4.4% in December. Compared to the level of the same month in 2022, GDP increased by 1.9% (in December 2023 2.3% compared to 2021)," the ministry said.
According to the first estimate of Rosstat, Russia's GDP growth at the end of 2023 reached 3.6%. In the Q4 of 2023, GDP growth was 5.1%, and in December - 4.6%.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, in 2024 Russian GDP will grow by 2.3%. The Bank of Russia expects this indicator to grow by 0.5-1.5%.
