MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Turkey will allocate the second site for construction of a nuclear power plant in the country, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev said.
"President [of Turkey] Recep Tayyip Erdogan publicly stated that the political decision had been made to transfer one more site to us. We are currently studying the details. Most probably this will be the 'Sinop' site - on the Black Sea and not on the Mediterranean," the chief executive said.
The Akkuyu nuclear power plant currently under construction in Turkey will produce about 35 bln kWh after achieving full capacity.
